Evidence

A NIOSH evaluation of ceramic permanent-magnet production sampled workers in the powder house and wet/dry press areas for total and respirable lead and determined that the evaluated workers were not exposed to toxic concentrations of lead under the conditions observed; the finding is workplace-specific and does not establish that lead ceramic powder is generally safe.
