Evidence

The UK HSE states that mist and foam spraying of disinfectants generates an aerosol likely to produce whole-body exposure, with greater risk from pressure mist spraying, and calls for suitable personal and respiratory protective equipment based on the product and work conditions.

Mist and foam spraying · 1
This generates aerosol likely to produce whole-body exposure to the disinfectants. A greater risk is presented by pressure mist spraying where higher levels of aerosol will be generated. Suitable personal protective equipment (PPE) and respiratory protective equipment (RPE) should be provided.
