Evidence

NIOSH's occupational health evaluation states that workers exposed to kaolin (china clay) have been found to have varying degrees of pneumoconiosis, with abnormal radiographic findings related to exposure duration, and that pulmonary-function impairment has been associated with kaolin exposure and worsening pneumoconiosis.

Workers exposed to kaolin (china clay) have been found to have varying degrees of pneumoconiosis, with the prevalence of abnormal radiographic findings corresponding to the length of exposure. Additionally, pulmonary function impairment has been associated with kaolin exposure and correlates with findings of worsening pneumoconiosis.
