Evidence

A NIOSH evaluation investigated peanut-grading inspectors who reported irritation of the eyes, nose, respiratory tract, and skin, along with nausea, vomiting, headache, fever, and flu-like symptoms. NIOSH assessed ventilation, PPE, airborne dust, and endotoxin-related exposures at the facility; the reported symptoms are from that evaluated workforce and should not be treated as a universal effect estimate.
