Airborne sulfuric-acid droplets or aerosol generated during use, transfer, charging, or other operations involving sulfuric acid.

Evidence

The NIOSH Pocket Guide identifies inhalation, ingestion, skin, and eye routes for sulfuric acid and reports eye, skin, nose, and throat irritation, pulmonary edema, bronchitis, emphysema, conjunctivitis, burns, and dermatitis; it sets a 1 mg/m³ time-weighted-average REL and PEL.
